Possum Kingdom Lake
Possum Kingdom Lake, which is more fondly known as “P.K.”, is a 17,000-acre lake on the Brazos River primarily in Palo Pinto County, Texas. This lovely lake is known for its clear blue waters and a 310-mile shoreline. The reservoir holds approximately 750,000 acre feet of water.

Possum Kingdom is a very popular place for tourists, with many activities available year round. There are many different areas around the lake that you can really enjoy yourself while experiencing the beauty of the scenery and the wildlife. With properties around the lake being so breathtaking, no wonder so many start dreaming of a home here.

There are many reasons why people choose Possum Kingdom, the first being the beautiful scenery and the relaxed lifestyle and the second being the friendly communities and wonderful events that are held all year round. There are the Fourth of July fireworks that look absolutely stunning over the lake, and many more events to suit all tastes and entertainment choices. Of course, a quieter and more laid back lifestyle is probably why you are here.

Possum Kingdom Lake is one of the clearest lakes in all of Texas; because of this the lake is now a favorite place for scuba diving and boating. Possum Kingdom Lake is only a short drive from Dallas, Ft. Worth, Wichita Falls and Abilene, Texas. It is located just off interstate 20 and is less than 100 miles away from DFW Airport making it a perfect location for weekend getaways.

Some holes offer wide stretches of land but ravines, rock outcroppings, cedar groves and a mixture of native grasses border the fairway on others. This Par-71 course is short at a little under 6800 yards, but don't let that fool you. The Cliffs has been rated as one of the toughest in Texas.  Contact The Cliffs Resort at www.thecliffsresort.com
